Dennis Kalwij
Hello Dennis, how do you look back at the onboarding at Intus? How was it?

That's a funny story: when I applied for the position of Consultant, I needed to complete an assignment on site after a short training. Our consultant Jefta guided me at that moment: he had been working at Intus for a while.
Once I was hired, I received a two-day training in my first week and that happened to be from him too. That was nice for me because I already knew him and we had a good connection.
That made it all a bit easier: I could ask questions all the time and feel at ease about it. I also quickly noticed that the team was happy with my arrival and fortunately my lame jokes were also appreciated (often, not always). This is actually something I appreciate at Intus: you can be yourself within the organization. It's all good.
Also, there is a lot of interest for each other, especially during our lunch in which we all sit together at a long table. Long story short: I felt welcome, the onboarding was very helpful and all the colleagues were very eager to help me.
What gives you energy at your work as a Consultant at Intus?
On most days of the week, I am visiting our customers at their office and it is very nice to see that my help and advice are appreciated. They are happy when I'm there to help them and that gives me a lot of energy and job satisfaction. It’s fun to see them improve in using InPlanning and along the way you also build a really nice relationship with them. I also find it very interesting to get a glimpse into other companies and to drive across the country. Every day is different and that keeps things interesting, for sure!
What are your favourite memories at Intus so far?
Definitely the trips. The ski trip (Skintus 2023) was truly legendary! I was one of the organizers, so to combine one of my favourite activities with a group of colleagues was of course great fun. The trip to Luxembourg was also memorable. In addition, a group of colleagues sometimes participate in a pub quiz in Zeist, and I join them on a regular basis. It's just fun to do things with colleagues outside of work, whether on your own initiative or at the initiative of Intus.
Do you have any ambitions for the future at Intus?
I'm currently an Application Consultant, but soon I'll be helping out the implementation team to see what that's like. New clients often have a different perspective on InPlanning compared to existing ones, so I think that will be both interesting and a great learning experience. That’s one of the nice things about working at Intus, you’re always welcome to observe or gain experience in another team. Who knows what the future at Intus will bring me!
