Through Indeed! I was orienting myself online after finishing my studies. I knew I wanted to go into consultancy, but I didn't know which branch of it yet. This is what I wanted to do: being the go-to-person for specific projects.
I was therefore looking for an organization with an open atmosphere in which I could develop myself and being accountable.
Well, I found it at Intus.
You work as an Implementation Consultant, what does that entail?
As an Implementation Consultant at Intus you are involved in the implementation process from start to finish. Once the customer has signed, you ensure that you gain insight into what wishes there are and how that is translated into the design of InPlanning. At every moment in the process you think along with the customer and advise on this.
For example, are there any other products from us that better meet your needs? Can we really develop the ideas we came up with with the customer? Do the software tests reveal any changes that you need to address together with the Technical Consultant? You really are the spider in the web. It is therefore useful if you understand the functional part and the technical part. Then you can make the translation work well.
What does your working day look like?
I often work together with the Project Manager on location at the customer. When we go to a customer for the first time, we always kick off our visit with coffee and a piece of cake. I always take a little more time for this, because I think it's important to get to know each customer well. Of course you will be working together for a longer period of time.
The journey starts from there. We make a technical scan of the customer's systems and determine the wishes. You often sit at the table with a broad target group: manager, planners, payroll administration and directors. From these different roles, there can also be different interests. I like to take on the advisory role in this and give direction to the best solution for the customer.
What was the moment for you that you thought: this is where I belong?
That must be the moment I was assigned to my first project. In the beginning, I accompanied a colleague who was already doing a trajectory. My ambition was to get my own project soon. When that moment arrived, my supervisor actually immediately said:
''Go! Do it and find out for yourself. If you have any questions, I'm here for you."
It is precisely this approach that is the best way for me to take steps quickly. I immediately feel a lot of confidence because they say: ''Just do it.'' That way you can really make it your own and you learn super fast
What do you think is typically Intus?
Our effort and commitment! You notice, for example, that the Commercial team really does everything to win a deal.
But, even if we have a game night or floorball tournament, everyone goes all-in. Recently, I ran my lungs out during a floorball tournament against other offices. My team may have been last, but it certainly wasn't down to the effort!
